On October 8th, 2023, at approximately 05:35 am the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company and mutual aid companies were dispatched for a structure fire at 5600 Circle Park Drive. RHPD and Engine 72 were the first units on the scene. Upon arrival first responders reported heavy smoke coming from the structure. Crews made forcible entry and conducted an offensive interior attack on the fire. The situation was brought under control just under 30 minutes after dispatch at 06:03 am. No occupants were home at the time of the fire, no injuries were reported, unfortunately 2 family pets perished. Boundary Ave was shut down for a period of time while apparatus was staged. The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office. Red Cross was called in to assist the family during this unfortunate incident. Several mutual aid companies responded and assisted at the scene and stood by at Station 7 and neighboring companies while crews worked the scene.
