[Rock Hall, Maryland, Mar 9, 2025]

We are thrilled to announce the return of the Guardian of the Pearl Fishing Tournament, and we have some exciting news for 2025—a Catfish Division has been added! There is no additional fee or registration required to enter a catfish, and prizes will be awarded for the largest fish by weight in each division. This action-packed three-day event will take place from June 6-8, featuring a Captain’s Meeting on June 6 and a two-day tournament on June 7-8.
This tournament holds immense significance for both our organization and the Rock Hall community. It not only promotes our rich heritage, tourism, and fishing culture but also raises much-needed funds to support our mission of protecting and serving the citizens of Rock Hall and surrounding areas. The success of this iconic event helps bolster local businesses and preserves our unique history.
Thanks to your unwavering support as Captains, Anglers, and Sponsors in previous years, we raised over $75,000 combined from tournaments held in 2022, 2023, and 2024. These funds have enabled us to purchase life-saving equipment, outfit our firefighters with up-to-date safety gear, and finance essential maintenance projects.
If you’re interested in sponsorship opportunities or would like more information about this year’s tournament, please reach out to Beth Councell at rhvfcrockfishtournament@gmail.com. We encourage everyone to follow us on social media for updates as we get closer to the tournament date! Thank you for your continued support—we can't wait for another fantastic event!
